Abstract: F. Scott Fitzgerald's first novel, This Side of Paradise, made him instantly famous, and prefigured the themes and characters in later works such as The Great Gatsby and Tender is the Night. A thinly disguised account of Fitzgerald's own Princeton years, the novel's frank description of the main character's love affairs shocked and delighted its first readers, and the book was an immediate success. The book recounts the story of Amory Blaine as he grows from pampered childhood to young adulthood, and learns to know himself better. At Princeton he becomes a literary aesthete and makes friends with other aspiring writers. As he moves out into the world and tries to find his true direction he falls in love with a succession of beautiful young women. Youthful exuberance and immaturity give way to disillusion and disappointment as Amory confronts the realities of life.

Abstract: Cosmic Egg is the second studio album by Australian hard rock band Wolfmother, released on 23 October 2009. It is the first album by the second lineup of the band, featuring vocalist, songwriter and lead guitarist Andrew Stockdale, bassist and keyboardist Ian Peres, rhythm guitarist Aidan Nemeth and drummer Dave Atkins,formed in 2009 after original members Chris Ross and Myles Heskett left in August 2008. Upon its release, Cosmic Egg peaked at number three on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart, the same position as the band's first album. The album was the only studio release by the band to feature Atkins, who left the band in April 2010 during the Cosmic Egg promotional tour cycle. The album was recorded between April and May 2009 at Sound City Studios and Sunset Sound Studios[7] in Los Angeles, California. The title of the album comes from a position in yoga described by frontman Stockdale as "like the fetal pose". The album's release was promoted throughout 2009 and 2010 by the New Moon Rising World Tour, beginning in September 2009 in Australia. Abstract: Quando Thomas si risveglia, le porte dell'ascensore in cui si trova si aprono su un mondo che non conosce. Non ricorda come ci sia arrivato, né alcun particolare del suo passato, a eccezione del proprio nome di battesimo. Con lui ci sono altri ragazzi, tutti nelle sue stesse condizioni, che gli danno il benvenuto nella Radura, un ampio spazio limitato da invalicabili mura di pietra, che non lasciano filtrare neanche la luce del sole. L'unica certezza dei ragazzi è che ogni mattina le porte di pietra del gigantesco Labirinto che li circonda vengono aperte, per poi richiudersi di notte. Ben presto il gruppo elabora l'organizzazione di una società disciplinata dai Custodi, nella quale si svolgono riunioni dei Consigli e vigono rigorose regole per mantenere l'ordine. Ogni trenta giorni qualcuno si aggiunge a loro dopo essersi risvegliato nell'ascensore. Il mistero si infittisce quando - senza che nessuno se lo aspettasse - arriva una ragazza.
